Peninsula Land Limited
 

Peninsula Land Limited is amongst the first few real estate companies to be listed on the stock exchange. The Group’s erstwhile companies, Piramal Holdings Ltd. (PHL) and Morarjee Relaties Ltd. (MRL) were merged to form Peninsula Land Ltd. PHL came into existence in 1997 with the planning and development of Crossroads. MRL was formed in 2003 when the demerger of The Morarjee Goculdas Spinning & Weaving Co. Ltd. left behind a large tract of land suited for development.

It was in April 2005 that PHL was merged into MRL and in April 2006, MRL was renamed Peninsula Land Limited Its initiatives include pioneering retail ventures, world-class commercial and residential projects, facility management services to manage real estate, private projects, projects that involve public private participation, as well as a realty fund.

In less than a decade since its inception, Peninsula continues to bring real value and expertise to the real estate industry.

In 1999, Peninsula entered the real estate market with Crossroads - India's first international standard shopping mall followed by CR2 - South Mumbai's first and only shopping mall-cum-multiplex to offer an eight storey multi-level car park.

Peninsula was the first company to develop cotton textile mill land after it was opened up for development in Mumbai. Peninsula Corporate Park was developed on the textile mill lands in Central Mumbai, a project which virtually transformed the face of the area into a new age business district. Some of our major projects include Peninsula Business Park, Peninsula Technopark, Ashok Towers and Ashok Gardens.

Peninsula has expanded its presence from a single city to being present in five cities. It is aiming at expanding its geographical presence in Southern India, apart from Western India. Peninsula is working towards becoming a major player in developing the new face of India.

Peninsula Facility
 

Peninsula Facility Management Services Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Peninsula Land Limited is a professional facility management company. The company was established with the launch of Crossroads in 1999. However, IT was formally incorporated in 2003.

Peninsula Facility provides comprehensive and customized facility management packages for corporate, retail and residential clients. They operate through a network of highly trained professionals and experienced specialists.

Peninsula Facility is currently managing 2.24 million sq. ft. of real estate in Mumbai and is looking at increasing its foothold in the facility management business by acquiring an additional 31.2 million sq. ft. in the next three years.

Peninsula Facility is currently focusing on rapidly growing in-house portfolio of Peninsula. However, it aspires to grow into a preferred Facility Management brand within the next 5 years by focusing on various asset segments like Retail, Commercial, BPO and Hospitality segment outside the Peninsula domain.

Peninsula Realty Fund
 

Given Peninsula’s credentials and deep roots in the industry, an entry into real estate investment seemed a natural progression. Armed with the Peninsula’s knowledge and expertise, the Peninsula Realty Fund was launched in 2007.

The objective of the fund is to provide superior, consistent, risk-adjusted returns to its investors through investments in the Indian real estate sector by leveraging the Peninsula’s real estate industry network and the rich professional experience accessible to the Fund.

A SEBI registered fund , this entity shall invest in Real Estate across geographies and asset classes to tap on the emerging real estate opportunities , catalyzed by India’s economic boom . The Fund is promoting two schemes, a $ 87.5 mn Domestic scheme “ Indigo” and a $ 350 mn International Scheme “Paramount” to invest in the Indian Real estate market.

The differentiating factors of this fund vis-à-vis others in the market are the prior Real Estate development experience of the promoters across retail , residential and commercial asset classes , sourcing Proprietary deals and a team of professionals with extensive and long-term relationships with leading and emerging Indian construction and development partners.

Peninsula Land , will co-invest with the Fund in all future developments ,thus aligning interests of both the fund raising and the development arm . This symbiotic alignment is aimed at securing a greater return not just for the shareholders of the Development Company but for the investors in the fund as well.
